The City of Selkirk has a mandate to create an environment that successfully attracts new investment, retains, and expands current business for the entire community whilst leveraging the strong regional approach of the Interlake municipalities to provincial and federal support, all working together in collaboration.
New and existing Selkirk-based businesses have access to federal, provincial, and municipal programs such as tax credits, wage subsidies, workforce development support, and more, helping them get a strong start.
The City will facilitate any governance steps to build a new facility and will bring key local partners to the table including Manitoba Hydro, City Engineering Staff, City Management, City Water / Wastewater Staff, Province of Manitoba, and the proponent.
